^ Typically they're called aviation snips if they have a compound action hinge for more leverage. - dave_c
I received mine today. I can confirm they do have a "compound action hinge" it's more sturdy, powerful, and great leverage compared to plain scissor action ones. I almost bought ones on for $12+, this is a steal!
^ Maybe a steal, depends on the quality and hardness of the metal.
I haven't tried these Hyper Tough but my standard is the Wiss snips I still have from a lifetime ago when I worked in HVAC and used snips daily... Once made the mistake of buying the cheap ones at Harbor Freight to try out, and they couldn't even cut thin sheet metal without dulling and even deforming the cutting edges... Buttermetal. waste of money, but at least not a lot of money.
