@ZoneRanger, I need to start going to WM more (it's less than a mile from my house) and start taking pictures of the prices. I am not 100%, but it seems as though in-store prices can be much lower, depending on the TV.
I know WM price matches the online prices in-store, it would be nice if they did it the other way around as well.
Yeah. Why? I like mine. Walmart TVs are usually a little neutered somehow. Either fewer inputs, or fewer local dimming zones. But not that big of a deal breaker for me.
I have an old 40" TCL from when they just started showing up and it's been GREAT! My first LCD was a Sharp 37" 1080p back in 2006 which was supposed to be the LCD gold standard. Well, the first one that I got at Magnolia HiFi (for $1999.99) was a dud and broke on the second day of use. I returned it and bought a replacement from Onecall.com once they got them in stock at a 30% savings. Then a few years later we got the TCL which only cost $249.99 and was so superior to the Sharp, I was shocked. Goes to show the leaps and bounds that happen in the first few years of a product's life (LCD TVs that is). I would definitely get another TCL once I have room to upgrade size or need a replacement.
A little tid bit for those Samsung fan boys.... Back in April 2008, Samsung Electronics announced that it would be outsourcing the production of some LCD TV modules to TCL. Just saying....
