Isn't it smarter to just replace your battery every 4-6 years for $50? Much better chance of remembering the battery than remembering to keep this thing charged.

If you want to get the low end battery, I wouldn't expect 3 years out of it, while what you get for $100-ish at Costco or Walmart typically has at least a 3 year replacement, +2 (or more) years prorated warranty, so yeah it makes sense to keep a good battery in the vehicle as the first line of defense.
The thing with these Li-Ion jumpstarter packs is I'd never want to leave one in the vehicle due to generic Chinese product fire hazard risks, and that they're nowhere near capable of the rated current.
They can get the job done if your primary starter battery is just drained or a little weak by putting some charge into it so both batteries are in parallel to share current, but the idea that a product like this can do 800A by itself is madness, another case of not policing dubious product specs till abuse becomes rampant.
