A Nespresso pod machines. Pods cost between 3 (for compatibles) and 6 or 7(for Nespresso brand) times as much as the equivalent amount of ground beans used by a superautomatic to make a better cup of espresso. If you make 2 cups a day, your breakeven point for a $400 Saeco is under 6 months, and you get to enjoy much better coffee — not to mention you’re not contributing all this non recyclable plastic to landfill.
