Some vehicles now omit an outlet capable of the heat of a lighter itself but still have compatible aux outlet ports you can plug something like this into. Typical fused outlet is 15A, which at approx 14V alternator output would give you ~220W but it's good to give your inverter a little margin instead of running at full load.
