You can think about it that way, or you can think about how much time you spend on your phone vs on a laptop. Nowadays, many people spend more time on their phones than laptops.
you know what...I was expecting something really cool for their anniversary. this is....underwhelming. after the iphone 4, i only got the iphone 7+ just because I hate samsung.
guess i just got to wait for google to come out with something better
I am in for the X. I don't see any flagship phone out there that cost significantly less. Even the Note 8 cost $930. I think flagship phones are all going to be in the 1k range. Anything less will be older flagships or "flagship killers".
Some people can afford the luxury version of some cars, some cant. Some can but don't want to. These are android people. Car gets you from point A to B, has alot of basic features like ac, power windows, rear camera. Many more people prefer but can't afford luxury cars but would if they could, these are apple people. A bit more refined, a bit quieter, a bit faster. Weird to me how some people will say $300 is too much of a difference for a phone and drive an acura BMW lexus lol
my note 3 still out performs my friends newer iPhone 6. it's as if apple designs their phones to intentionally slow down over time. and itunes software.... thats a joke. no thanks.
If you bought a apple product-you only own half of it. Apple control the other half- They decide what apps you can install,what ebook you can get(they screen ebooks),what upgrade you have to do, ......and make Apple your sole supplier so they can make $$ from you. And you don't have 2nd choice and follow the path Apple arranged. Buy apple - if you like been controlled. I will pass.........

I'd rather be without a smart phone than become an "i-sheep", enslaved by greedy Apple. I love my Android phone. Less than $300, with 64GB and I added a 128GB MicroSD card. Still far less than half Apple's ridiculous price. Actually just a little over a third of Apple's price.

I'm an iPhone user, and I find these "upgrades" underwhelming. Seriously, the 8 would have been a tiny upgrade even if they called it 7s, which is what it is. The 8 is just awkward with the notched display. no home button, and the face unlock... for an increase of $300 to lose features I'm used to. The X might grow on me over time as the reviews come in and the price goes down on places like Swappa, but I won't get in line for it.
