I bought a similar product at some point. This is a horrible, no good, bad idea. It turns out there are times you want to be able to turn off the lights. It's rare but it happens.
A permanently-installed nightlight can NEVER be turned off. As much as that might sound like not-a-big-deal, the one time per year you NEED to turn it off, it's obnoxious.
I don't know. You have a guest sleeping over who can't sleep with light (maybe in a different room for a sleepover or something). You're tinkering with a little projector. Your kid is doing some oddball photography project for school. You're doing a robotics project with machine vision. ...
NONE of those are common, and a lot of them are a stretch, but it DEFINITELY comes up about once a year. And your only option is to do electrical work.
^ Slap a couple layers of electrical tape over it? Probably better to do a black bottom layer and (matching?) white upper layer as the black will block more light.

Get something which unplugs. Or with a switch.
Thank you!
