I prefer the sickly yellow color of CFL bulbs. It reminds me of my alcoholic dad. He had jaundice, and eventually died of a diseased liver.

I don't like daylight temp bulbs. Too harsh, like working in a commercial office with fluoro lights. I need a warm light for use at home.

Most commercial buildings use F40CW bulbs that are 4000 K. These are more "daylight"

We removed all of the dull 2700 k bulbs from our home and upgraded to 5000 and 6000k lighting. Our house seems like a different place. Less dreary looking. You should try it. It definitely makes a huge difference.

Great price, 5,000k is a horrible color - it’s a white light, horrible. I prefer 2,700k - yellow.
