They ALL want too much info, but the price we pay for cheap and free services. I use Roku. Same privacy issues.

Google would learn very little about me compared to intel from computer and phone use, though the last google OS TV I had was buggy and crashed then eventually bricked itself from running out of nv memory, even though I had disabled every smart thing available in the menu and left the tv itself disconnected from the internet. That was a Hisense though, not TCL.
