So what is especially automotive about this? Since I have regular magnifying glasses, seems like in an automotive environment, I might want the lens made of polycarbonate so it won't shatter if I drop or bang it against something.
Then again I don't recall a single time I never needed a magnifying glass for automotive work... maybe to read the fine print on something but usually if I think the instructions are important, I'll just throw it on a scanner and blow up the zoom on a monitor to both read and archive a digital copy of it.
