A cats sense of smell is about 14 times as strong than that of humans. Just because you get litter scented with febreze so you can't smell it as soon, doesn't mean they can't. Your cat probably hates you for waiting so long to clean the box. Scoop it daily, regardless of whether or not you think it stinks.
This stuff is toxic for cats and any kitty litter that offers 'clumping' means the dust can also clump in your cats lungs... give a product like Feline Pine a serious look
Once a day litter cleaning is fine.... And scented litter doesn't seem to bother our cat. Cats lick their butts, and enjoy it. I don't think a semi dirty litter box phases a cat too much.
