    Kinda fascinating that once upon a time, we were all brand "snobs" and might bicker over one PC vs. another -- HP vs. Dell, Toshiba vs. Asus, Acer vs. Lenovo, Sony vs. MSI. Seems like basic standards have gotten to the point that your sub-$1000 machine is pretty fungible and now you can count on your laptop making it 2 (or maybe even 4) years without issues. I guess maybe it's that way with cell phones as well. Interesting to note that we might have scoffed at this deal ("An ACER??? Forget it!") but not so much anymore.
