Not bad for a single line plan. Looking for a family plan however

I switched to Hello Mobile on July 1st at $25/month unlimited everything, but high speed data might get throttled after 15GB which I rarely use so much data. So far, so good... considering they use the Sprint & T-Mobile networks.

Was with AT&T for 15 years, never coming back. Switch to T-Mobile with everything unlimited + international roaming for $40/line, could not be happier!

TMobile coverage is sketchy in many places. Yes, I tried. Wanted it for the international coverage. Disappointing performance in major cities in the US, France, Greece, Germany, UK, Spain, Czech Republic and The Netherlands. I'll stick with AT&T in the USA and just buy cheap local sim cards when I'm overseas.

The way it's written on the website is, $25 monthly when you prepay $300. So its $25 a month on top of prepaying $300. Works out to $50 a month. I'm already paying prepaid $40 a month for the same plan. No contract. This isnt a good deal.

Sounds like they are trying to compete with Mint Mobile, albeit not very effectively. Mint gives you a similar plan for $240/year (plus about $1/month in taxes.) Works out to about $21/month with 8GB of high speed data. Mint uses the T-Mobile network, so may not work for everyone.

I have T-Mobile One Plus and use it in the UK, Holland and France without any problems. It does international roaming on multiple operators so you can sometimes get signal where locals can't, because they can't roam to competing networks. Data is not fast, but it's sufficient to stream SiriusXM radio and use GPS navigation. Note that different countries use different frequencies and if your phone does not support all the local bands, it may not be able to deliver optimal performance.

this description should be updated as the previous comment notes also that it's $300 upfront then another additional $25/month to get the plan listed in the description

Contrary to posts on here, the plan is indeed $300 for the whole year, not $300 + $25/mo.

At ATT's site the wording is:
"Service available for 360 days upon first payment of $300. Plan renews every 30 days for 12 renewal periods. The $300 advance payment is non-refundable in whole or in part. Next service payment due at 11:59 p.m. CT on the 360th day."

...so there are NO payments due for 360 days (or 1 year).

I'd rather go with the devil, if the devil provided such service, than go with SBC (SBC own AT&T).
AT&T will never be on my list of possible businesses to deal with. Never again.

To sudeep: As far as I can tell from briefly looking through the terms, there is NO credit check, this is a pre-paid plan for one year.

I've had enough dealings over the years with AT&T to know that I will never make that mistake again. Don't care how good the deal looks; I know I'm going to get violated. That's just how they work. Very happy T-Mo customer for 5 years after 14 with VZ.

To all of you who hate AT&T the company, I get it. BUT... There's no denying the quality of their network/coverage. So... Have your cake and eat it too.... Use a reseller of AT&T service like Consumer Cellular and you won't have to deal with AT&T but you get the AT&T network with lower rates and no contract. Prepaid not required... Free sim card. Easy peasy.
