Remember that Rakuten is more of a marketplace. The company selling this drive is TheKeyKey. If you get a dud, my recommendation is that you contact Rakten by phone. If all you want is a refund, they'll email you a prepaid shipping label, no questions asked. (That's what I did with the ADATA SSD I bought, after ADATA ignored my email request).
