I remember my foray into VoIP all those years ago via a deal on Bens. The company went belly-up after a few years and my hardware went into the trash. Good times.

I've been using Obi devices with GV for 7 years now....
Also a 7+ years user here. I use both Google Voice and PhonePower service. Not sure why anyone would just throw away an Obi device when at least Google Voice can be used for free on these.
I have this. Works great! Had the OBI100 for about a decade before it, still worked great but GV and other support ended so had to upgrade. I have a land line I have tried a number of ways to port to Google Voice including porting to a mobile phone first but didn't work for me so have it on VOIP.MS service, cheap, loaded with features, highly recommended. I also have a Google Voice number set up on this. This can handle two lines and fax in addition to GV. You don't have to worry about a service going out of business with this. It comes with no service and works with many. Their web interface makes it pretty easy to set up. This is a great price.
