Another FAIL by SEARS! Prices skyrocketed on dozens of items on me within a hour or so. No wonder they are going out of business. Their sales last few months have been terrible and when they finally get a few items worth buying they immediately change it before you can even purchase it. RIDICULOUS!
The Sears in Pompano Beach, Fla., is closing after almost 50 years. We went in there the other day, as I have been doing since I was a teenager when they opened in 1970. The closeout/going out of business prices were actually more than I have paid for the same items when Sears has a sale. I know this because one of the few things I have continued to buy from them over the years are David Taylor Polos. So I am very familiar with the pricing of that shirt. Having said that.....
I may be wrong, but I think one major problem with Sears was going live well before they were prepared. Sears had, far and away, the worst .com site in retail. No comparison. And it remained that way long enough to lose shoppers, like myself, who expected the same seamless experience you get with , etc. Sears seemed to be more interested in selling web space to 3rd party sellers than providing customers with a great online shopping site.
I totally predicted the store wide price increases today ppl are noting. For the past month, they had an incredible deal where you spend $50, you got $50 of store credit, BUT you only got $25 immediately and then the other $25 on 11/18/18. I predicted on or about 11/18 all prices in the store would go way up because that's when everyone gets their extra $25! ...which is now worth less!
