Best knives in the market. I've had a set for over 20 years now and they are sharp as ever.

The link to the product is wrong. This is the right link and it's $60 for the knife alone.

    The
    Amazon
link points to the Gourmet series knife which is an incorrect comparison. This is the much better Classic line.

I was trying to edit the comment to add the link and then fix it so many times that I finally gave up. Editing a posted comment just isn't working here.

I bought one of their other knives from a cookware place that went out of business years ago for this price. Best Knife until my father decided to sharpen it using the wrong sharpening stone. It's ruined but still works.

FWIW, this knife has a full bolster, so sharpening it using stones will be a PITA. It's also a bit short at 6", but I imagine this will be more travel-friendly for when you go to other people's homes to help with food prep or go car camping.

Having said that, if you're religious about using a honing rod before/after each use, you won't need to sharpen it for a while if you take care of the knife. Get a honing rod to match the hardness of the blade.. and maybe get a better cutting board while you're at it.
