I have one of these. It works well. They call it 3 stage filtering, but it's actually 3 filters, one after the other. First there is a washable screen to get the big stuff, then a charcoal filter to get smaller stuff and filter out odors and finally the HEPA filter to get the little guys.
Many filters are like this. However, this one is very quiet at the low fan settings.
