Remove screen from device and add bluetooth support, saving manufacturer money.
Then sell device as "smart" and increase price tag.
Generally somewhat more inconvenient as you no longer have a self-contained device.
I never did have much success using any stud finder.
I had much more success tapping the wall and listening for hollow/not hollow sounds. The stud is where the tapping doesn't sound hollow.
Ahh, I paid $250 for one of these in 2016 when it was brand new. Totally geeked about the idea of a personal ground-penetrating radar. Turns out it's almost impossible to get anything useful out of it, and the software is totally nerfed. I'm sad that it flopped, but not surprised.
