They don't list the version # but it's 4.4. Their giveaway in July 2021 was for v4.2. I couldn't find a comprehensive changelog.
Don't know if their server is getting pounded with download requests or has some other technical problem but I had to try downloading twice, failed near the end on the first try.
You can install this v4.4 right over the 4.2, no need to uninstall first but it will overwrite the older version, not keep both available.
Can't recall for sure but this 4.4 may have added the youtube video downloader feature, or maybe 4.2 had it too, i never tried to use it for yt video d/l.
The interface isn't the greatest, they tried to over-simplify it so a little clunky to those who have used other video editors or converters, but the presets for various device playback could be handy for those who don't know which settings to use, and free is free.
^ It is normally a time limited trial version, but in this case it is a giveaway with installation key provided (as below) so it is not time limited, is a full version but not lifetime so no free updates to newer versions, yet historically they've kept giving away newer versions for free over the past 2+ years on these Giveaway events.
I might be interpreting that wrong, it could be what is time limited is the amount of time you have to get this version and use the key below, but it wasn't "time limited" to the extent that it stops working, or that it limits you to only 5 minutes of video. Just a moment ago I tested that, it will encode longer videos.

When it asks for this key at first app launch you can input anything for the email address, does not have to be one already registered with them, or even your real email address.
However, I'm more familiar with Avidemux and it has more configuration and filters, and is free too, so will probably keep using it instead, when I don't need a full video editor app for more complex jobs.

Thanks for the info Dave. It is confusing how the website words it.
I used Handbrake before but recently just started using DVDfab to convert 4K HDR to lower bitrate and it works great and the GUI is perfected with minimal options.
I really do not understand why someone would complain about a converter with a free license. We can take advantage of the free version, and that's not enough?
The free license says its "Time Limited". Just FYI.
I ordered DVDfab this morning.
