Low power consumption and price isn't bad for what you get. Haven't used their management software, so I don't know what that's like. However there are only 4x gigabit ports, and that is a deal breaker for me.
What 10/100 ports hooked up to my Gigabyte router....Just have to find some Cat 4 cable to go with it. Maybe sell my Gigabyte router and try to find a router without gig port. At first I was thinking 24 ports...versus my 16 port netgear I got off ..but what...10/100...what...hey...what the heck through in some floppy discs and I am sold
My 2 cents. This switch has lots of enterprise level features at a fraction of the cost of a true enterprise appliance. Yes it only has 4 gigabit ports but it is way more than many SOHO users need.
Perfect for giving yourself high bandwidth to the internet, a couple computers and your NAS, while the rest of the family has only the 100Mb they deserve. ;)
Of course you can also do this with managed equipment that's all GbE ports, at much higher price.
