^ Not so much, the prior electric range had to have a high current circuit (around 50 amps), far more robust than needed to power the gas range's electrical needs.

It has a 15 amp fuse in it to handle further limiting current, though some reviewers state that the fuse is not user replaceable.

The description here is incorrect. There is no 25-Volt involved. It simply converts a NEMA L14-50 outlet (250V/50A) to a NEMA 5-15 (125V/15A), or typical household outlet.
