NEVER add a debt card to You lose your recourse. If Amazon hands a package off to a "freight handler" which is just another shipper and that item is lost or a portion is not delivered Amazon will do nothing. It will be up to the seller or if you were smart you would have used a cc.
This one is fishy. I know they did this, but what’s the $25 benefit for getting a customers debit card and bank account info above any other form of payment?
I was there the other day, and they offered me a $50 credit, which I took!
But only because I had a Debit card from rebate of Mobil1 oil
.....once those $$ spent, the card is dead :)
Otherwise, agree, much better to used a Credit Card.

Most debit cards now offer the same protection as credit cards.

When you use the debit card, doesn’t lose the 2-3% fee that the CC is taking.
Also, I NEVER give my bank acct to any other institution that’s not another major financial institution (brokerage, other bank, etc). If a hacker gets into , you’re toast. If anything, open another account that is isolated from any other and keep a very small amount of money in it.
