Nearly 2 years ago, I bought a 4TB SDD for $300.
Per TB pricing appears to be stuck a bit. Some of it may be the current supply issues in the semiconductor industry. We'll see once this is over if the price trends continue. Fair to say that SDD is the choice for main drives. Not yet for large storage. Although impressive to see the ratio down to 3X.

QVO = 4 bits per cell = far less durability than even 3D NAND. Probably fine for most consumers.

With wear leveling across 8TB of space, probably doesn't matter unless you're running a huge database or something that changes constantly.
