^ There are no true 20V tools. Marketing departments just rounded up the 18V pack to 20V, or in some cases it was to signal that the so called 20V batteries weren't mechanically compatible with their prior 18V line.
Further, Craftsman and Ryobi are both made by TTI (until the recent B&D acquisition) so many of the CM tools are functionally the same as Ryobis, yet Ryobi's newer line was not reproduced in the CM line.
If you just need these two tools, CM will do fine. If you want to build a collection of many different tools and/or upgrade these pieces later, Ryobi has a distinct advantage there. As far as what B&D releases under the CM name in the future, it is anyone's guess but it is doubtful they will end up with as many tools as Ryobi already has.
B&D CM and TTI CM are both named CM but that is where the similarity ends, they are two different tool lines that might as well be different brands, are not cross compatible, don't use same batteries or charger, and more obviously neither share that compatibility with Ryobi either.
