I would assume it's the advance motion detection and 5Ghz networking which this model doesn't have.

I don’t recommend this product. I had to upgrade my network and it still didn’t let me view the person that rang the bell - when I was away from home on another good network. So I’m using a Nest now.

Note that the Doorbell 2 is the only one that does NOT require hard-wiring (or existing wired doorbell).

The video is much better (resolution and color fidelity), it supports faster networks and has more flexibility to specify motion detection areas.
