For what it's worth, Tello uses Sprint's towers. If your coverage is good with Sprint you'll be good with Tello!

I use tello with my personally owned Moto G5 Plus. Unlimited talk/text w/1GB data/ $10/Month - no contract.

For 2 GB for those wifi limited :) it is $14/Month (also no contract).

I've had good experience with connectivity as it uses sprint's infrastructure.

Yes, just make sure their are CDMA towers closeby. I have and love Tello. But once I went on a camping trip where the party changed location, they could not notify me because I had no signal. It was after 9pm too. I had to leave the camping site to find a restaurant and begged the waiter to text a message to my friend. Tello cannot and will not connect to towers other than CDMA. Just FYI.

I use Tello for an "emergency" phone that I keep in the car. A couple of years ago I deposited $5 and they gave me another $10 for switching to their service. My actual minutes of usage are charged against that balance with no other charges and the balance rolls over month to month. I still have $11 left in the account! Hard to beat that.
