Interesting. Te only drawbacks I can see are that it doesn't have a way to hold it to the socket, which means you have to hold it with one hand while removing a plug and you can't use it where the outlet is close to the a floor or counter top outlet.
Seems like too much leveraged weight, which will eventually make the wall outlet contacts loose, creating heat, oxidizing the contacts, more resistance till it burns out the outlet.
Interesting that no one mentioned the biggest flaw... 1080 joules is really NOT much, especially in locations with sheeety power, like Texas, FL and much of the SE USA . And joule rating isn't the solitary factor that makes a surge protector effective.... Clamping voltage and response time must be considered as well. Before you buy a surge protector, you really need to understand what a joule is and what it means in context of a surge protector.
