I got this exact charger at Costco as part of their Eneloop set - 20 something bucks for 8x AA and 4x AAA plus this charger. Don't be fooled by the USB - it's very standard low current - so yes it will run something or charge but it will charge slowly. As for the Eneloop charging, it's exactly the same as all the other Panasonic versions I've seen from the Costco packs - charges them fine but takes its time.
^ Huh? Eneloop is a Panasonic brand and Panasonic sells top shelf 18650 cells. The thing is, they aren't mainstream enough for Panasonic to bother with making a consumer grade charger and a decent charger for them (instead of USB junk that doesn't have logic or testing, just a 4.2V cutoff) is usually double the price, maybe $16 on sale but usually $25 or more if you want 4 bays, an LCD, and dual chemistry capability.

If it fit 18650 batteries, I would jump on it. Unfortunately that is not the case.

Eneloop does not sell that battery type.
