After jumping off of the iPhone bandwagon, I've tried Samsung, HTC, Alcatel and Moto. Wow, I did not expect such a huge difference in quality and control. The Moto (Motorola/Lenovo) easily wins as my favorite. Samsung felt as constrained as Apple. :-( The HTC and Alcatel weren't as solid or dependable. The Moto has impressed me from day one and I plan to stick with them - especially as they'll be the first to roll out 5G. Yay, Moto!!
if you get any model besides the one, they'll allow you to unlock the bootloader for rooting. It's also voids the warranty but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who cares? Rooting kicks a55.
But yeah - but this price is for the phone. $100 extra to lose Alexa! Probably get ads in your face all day long.
Nein Danke!
The standard Moto G6 w/ 32GB is only $200 at . Somewhat slower processor, but I don't care.
No question. The G6 wins.
Nope, dropped the ads months ago. We also have Alexa turned off. Gets regular Android security updates. Pretty much almost a stock Android phone for $200 plus the Moto gestures.
Oh, yeah, actually just remembered: there are some apps that can't be removed (e.g., music) but at least no ads. :)

bought one of these last year (black), and is a great phone. haven't really notices it's an "amazon phone".

Sunday morning and the X4 is $180. I'd definitely point you in that direction!
Thank you!
