    Cut out the pointless DVD drive and win10. Use chromeOS instead and cut the price to $249. Then I'm interested

    I bought one with an Intel in it last week from
    Staples
    for $149 with coupon. It had a 1TB platter drive and only 4GB RAM soldered to the board. It also had one open RAM slot that held 16. I added a stick of memory and a small SSD in the optical drive bay to run the OS and programs from and assigned file storage to the HDD. I ended up with 20GB RAM, booting from the SSD, and made a very decent little machine out of it for about $230.

    Obviously, a budget laptop, but a good one. Can do light gaming, browsing, MS office, etc, with no problems. Light, decent screen. Recommend it.
