I got a lifetime to AnonVPN through Stacksocial a few years back. They kept reducing # of servers then finally NONE accessible, made some excuse that use of a new app is necessary for new servers, but will only work for new paid service so you're SOL.
They're still in operation, just refusing to honor their lifetime subscriptions. I can't argue with the low cost/month I got out of it but it did disconnect dozens of times more often than the PIA I have now.
Point being, I wouldn't rely on this being lifetime. If you want good service long term, go with one of the majors that offers a year or more at a time instead of lifetime. Lifetime for cheap is just a cash grab that isn't sustainable long term, unless their client app serves you ads, or tracks you and sells that to advertisers for further revenue.
