Heh, Hisense Android TVs, I just spent hours trying to figure out why my PC's video was stuttering, thinking my video card was going out when other attempted resolutions failed.
Turned out that the TV was choking on a direct HDMI feed, not even using Android TV features. Had to be unplugged from the wall to reboot Android, the "off" setting on these with the remote or power bu tton does not really turn them off, just the screen.
It had other Android related problems before it updated itself but this came after. Maybe they put more QC into their higher priced sets, mine was one of their smaller, cheaper models.
