Look up the reports and tests of shorter battery life on these compared to all the other Pixels out there.

TMo will kill Sprint as soon as they can now acquired, don't buy anything new Sprint as it is planned obsolescence.

You're thinking of the Pixel 4, not 4a which hasn't even been released yet.

Initial feedback from some reviewers is that battery life is about 1.5 days. It's got a 3amp battery, which is a bit weak, but as usual with this platform, Google makes up for it with more efficient software. There are a lot of mediocre aspects to the hardware where Google compensates with software. I guess that's why it's so cheap.

I might go Pixel this upgrade cycle but this one is a big no just because it is not 5g. No use spending hundreds of dollars on something that wont even use the newest technology.

I agree. It makes sense to wait if you already have a phone that is satisfactory for your needs. I have an old Pixel 2. It's still a very usable phone, in that it very smoothly runs the latest Android with updates, but the battery life is now awful. I get around that by using a battery case. The case makes it heavy, but it also makes the phone last on battery for 1.5-2 days. I can wait for a 5G pixel.

I have a Pixel 4 and 4XL. Both are 5G. battery life is better on the XL but both are pretty good at 28-32 hours with normal usage. Quick charge 3.0 for an hour and it will go another day.

Pixel 4 / 4XL are not 5G. They might support 5GHz WiFi, but they don't support 5th generation wireless networks.
