I have an Echo Wall Clock and find it useful for what it was designed to be - a kitchen wall clock and kitchen timer that you can see at a glance and from the next room. I'm aware that some percentage of millennials are unable to tell time or are barely able to tell time using an analog clock or wristwatch (I see this a lot at work) but analog is just more attractive than digital and a skill that they probably should develop. I have mine paired with a 7" Echo Show but a Dot would work fine.
Bottom line, It works perfectly in its intended role of kitchen wall clock and timer for about the cost of a plain clock plus a kitchen timer.
Just need one of those in every room. Make screen lcd so it can look like anything. Add camera. Add full Alexa. Add smoke detector and temperature reader for ecobee. Give it away for free to everyone and data mine every sucker.
Trigger warning: The video will cause your Echo to start a "10 minute cookie timer". Alex...er..."She Who must not be Named" will pick up on the commands in the audio track.

A second hand will be included on version 2.0 but it will cost $45. Everything else will remain the same.
Thank you!
