I don't particularly care about the size of the batteries, but definitely aim for the XR batteries. I haven't had any issues with failures unlike the standard 20v batteries, which about 2/3 have died.

This is a very good value if you are in the DeWalt Ecosystem. I have the jigsaw from another similar deal and it works very nice. They also have routers and impact drivers as well as sanders
