True the lifetime warranty may disappear but the fiberglass handle on these is pretty sturdy, I don't see you breaking it unless you used a high, excessive level of force trying to pry a tree stump up or something. I have several Craftsman lawn/garden tools and have broken some of their wooden handles but never any of the fiberglass.

BUT does that apply to all Craftsman items? I know it is supposed to apply to hand tools but I didn't think it did on garden tools and other misc Craftsman items. Any info on this?
