I bought a SNES with Super Mario All-Stars out of the classified ads when I was a kid. It was probably the most money I had ever spent at the time (I think about $80).
I actually had an Atari. Always been an outdoor type of person who also loved electronics. Guess I should have kept that one. After that we bought a Philips Imagination Machine....hope I got that right...….which was the first, or one of the first, interactive DVD players.
Original Nintendo console. (I did play games on my Apple II Plus computer I bought in 1982 - but then you would have "stretch" the definition of what a gaming console is.)
