New Release. Costco has the new Apple MacBook Air M1 Chip 8-Core CPU / 8-Core GPU 13.3" Laptop with Retina Display, Fall 2020 model (Space Gray, MGN73LL/A or Gold, MGNE3LL/A) for $1200 (members) or $1260 (non-members) with free shipping.

The non-member surcharge is $60, so it's worth getting the annual membership for $60 (with $10 Costco Shop Card for new members).

Last week, Apple announced Macs with its new Apple Silicon M1 SoC featuring an an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU.

  • Apple M1 8-Core CPU / 8-Core GPU, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD
  • 13.3" IPS Retina Display (2560x1600, 227ppi, 400 nits), macOS 11.0

    I can't wait for actual numbers, I am pretty unsold on their M1 outperforming Intel or AMD considering the experience. I think it will be a mediocre chip fully optimized for mac stuff only.
