The second generation has a larger screen and it touts improved speakers, but I do wonder about the sound stage the new one produces since it has rear firing speakers. We’ve got this one and love it!

Started with the Echo and upgraded to the Show. Have loved both units. I would pay a bit more for the 2nd gen but I have not heard the sound yet, either.
