Feit, the maker of this bulb, says that the bulbs will not work with Comcast/Xfinity. They say it's all about the way that Comcast delivers 2.4 Mhz and 5.0 Mhz on the line going into the modem. This bulb ONLY works on 2.4 Mhz networks. On ANY network, If you leave 5.0 Mhz enabled, the bulbs will never be discovered.
its zigbee, not wifi. It connects to a hub, not router
They are ZigBee and Z-wave devices and connect through a hub (e.g., Wink). The hub will connect to your network via ethernet or Wi-Fi (2.4 or 5 depending on which hub/model you buy). Been using them on my Xfinity network for years just fine. These are daylight bulbs so this isn't really a bargain though.
I gather all those people who live in 500-room palaces just can't keep enough staff around to turn off the lights after paying taxes. That's why they invented timers and motion sensors.
