Very hard to beat the Pittsburgh tool set at Harbor Freight (https://www.harborfreight.com/mechanics-tool-set-301-pc-63464.html) for the money. I keep one in my RV and one at home. Use them constantly and give them as gifts. Great set with most of the things you need. With coupon you can usually score it around 160.
Still available here, I have a similar set and its very good, and yes a lot of small filler bits, but even so a killer deal. The ratchets would cost you half that
