The mark of an amateur. If you buy a used car with electrical gremlins, high probability of finding some of these under the dash causing the trouble.

Working to factory standards means depopulating the pins, sliding shrink tube over each wire, etc. It takes longer but it makes million-mile joints. These piercing turds will corrode in a year or two.
