I believe the way these work is that they're actually handing you a compressed stream, MJPEG or whatever. Which is fine for mostly-static images, like using your DSLR as a webcam by piping its HDMI output into this thing, as long as the scene is mostly static. As soon as there's a lot of motion, you're spot-on, USB2.0 may not be adequate and the image may suffer.
So why does it state:: "✔HIGH DEFINITION 1080P 30fps - Video Capture - Supports input max resolution 3840×2160@30Hz, output max resolution 1920×1080@30Hz. Record high definition 30 fps videos directly in your hard drive with no delay. It also support 60fps on 720p."? Is this totally bogus?
