This is a really fantastic recorder. I have an older version of this and it makes a difference between a great video recording and one using a handheld camera or cellphone. This is a great deal, but I don't know this Lonestar liquidator
I've wondered what people do with these things. Can anyone provide more specific details? Shmeagle alludes to a specific use. I'd like more details I take it to mean for syncing the audio portion of a video recording replacing another source, for the video than the listed alternatives. Use of movie editing software would be involved to do this best of course. I would think a better stand alone mic (a la Blue Yeti, etc.) would be preferred, but have no real comparisons.
Maybe Schmeagle meant to put better "audio recording" and it was a simple typo though.
OK.. I think I get it now... While recording video via the phone, you'd ALSO simultaneously record the audio with this recorder and then replace the phone audio recording with the audio from this thingamajig, using video editing software. Brilliant!!! So the question is whether or not this thing records better sounding audio than the phone. At a distance and close up.... Thanks for helping me "get it" tho..
Barry I've used it to make documentaries, recording voice overs, music, anything. You get a much more professional recording than with anything else short of a good microphone connected to the video camera. The difference you see in youtube videos that are recorded professionally and you actually want to watch.
Wait hold the phone for just one minute... so you are saying this thing is NOT a breathalyzer??? I was wondering why it kept counting up when I pressed the button. I thought man it takes forever for the thing to register the breath. The crew eventually all fell asleep and nobody drove anywhere so it actually it got the job done. 5 stars...
