This has a lot of negative reviews. On the other hand, for $2 less, but with a bigger physical size (desktop drive vs. notebook), you can get the 4TB WD My Book, which has all positive reviews. Both seem to have mandatory encryption built into the enclosure, which means you can't easily recover your data if the enclosure electronics die.
