For me, it calculated the price of the three shirts at $48.99, so I was not eligible for free shipping.

^^ Think I figured out the issue. The shirts that normally retail for $55 each accurately add up to $49 in your cart so you get free shipping. However, other shirts that are also part of the '3 for $49' special that normally retail for $59.50 only add up to $48.99 when put into your cart for some strange reason.

It only adds up to $49 if you purchase 3 of the exact same items. Otherwise it ends up being $16.33 each for a total of $48.99. A call to Macy's will remove the shipping charge.
