Fakespot beware? Tempting price point, but has anyone tried these?

... Actually, the Jinvoo Smart app (android) has terrible reviews. One play store review suggests the Tuya smart app, which also rates poorly, though a little better, but reportedly conflicts with the Jinvoo app...

I’m getting $17 now. Still a bargain/deal, but not a steal.

Is the Alexa functionality native? Or do I have to say “Alexa - ask Conico to turn off the Kitchen light?

The TUYA smart app works great for me in my house - even better than my WEMO app/plug, which requires wifi all the time.

These are identical to the Jinvoo and the Tuya smart outlets (one manufacturer, several sellers). Any of the apps will control these from any of the sellers. I use the Jinvoo, but it should be noted that you must have pretty good wifi signal wherever you plan on using these or you will get intermittent or poor performance.

Alexa functionality is native. You must first install one of the smartphone apps and set up these outlets, then you can discover them thru Alexa and she will control each or all of them based on their names ("Alexa, turn on the desk lamp", "Alexa, turn off the bedroom fan", etc.). After that you can actually uninstall the app from your phone without affecting the Alexa-enabled control. Alexa can even group two or more together so you can activate several at once with one command. I strongly recommend removing the smart phone app after you have everything set up with Alexa because there are some privacy issues with what the app can control and see on your phone that I think go far beyond what would be needed for something as simple as controlling a smart outlet (why does it need to have access to making calls? Holy smokes!)

Hope this helps.
