There appear to be a lot of complaints that this unit doesn't last after a few uses, particularly the compressor. FWIW I have a Jump-N-Carry and a TruckAir, while it's less convenient to have two devices, neither has let me down in many years.

Bought one two years ago. Compressor/inflator failed. Out of warranty. Thinking about purchasing a new one and returning the old one.

These usually have a single air compressor pump & when it overheats the pump puts out so little air it's useless.

Lead-acid-based jumpstarters are completely obsolete, why do we still post them?

Lithium does the same work in a quarter the space and a fifth the weight. I carry one in my backpack 24/7 because it's so light and it doubles as a USB powerbank which I would carry anyway.

Yes the key to these is to recognize that they heat up quickly but pump slowly, are better for inflating a sports ball, bicycle tire, or lawn equipment tire than a car/truck tire. Don't run it for more than a couple minutes at a time before allowing for cool down.

Disagree, while 700A cranking cap is overrated for this, it's nowhere near as grossly overrated as most Li-Ion jump starters, which can't deliver 1/2 as much current and make completely false claims about # of times they can jump start a vehicle.

A Li-Ion pack so small and light, will only work on small engines and a battery still in good shape that you leave connected for a while to get charge back into it. Essentially, it works best in conditions where a jump starter was barely needed. If that's your situation, great, but expect to be stranded more often and it only takes once to make a significant difference.

An equally capable Li-Ion jump starter costs approximately 3X as much, and falls outside of the size and weight someone will want to lug around with them everywhere on their person.
