People laugh at satellite radio service, or berate it, or whatever and that's fine - it's not for them. But I listen to a lot of radio in the car and at home and I can remember the exact moment I gave up on terrestrial radio stations - it was when a local Mazda dealer ran a commercial that was literally screaming their name over and over and over again. Shortly after that I subscribed to XM (back when it was only XM) and I've never, ever looked back. I even listen to it on my Echo and Dot at home, and none of my radio presets in my vehicle are set to AM or FM stations at all.
As I've said, it's not for everyone - but it is for me.
I call them every 6 months to cancel, and they renew me for $30 every time. I can't stand the local annoying commercials, so it's worth $5 a month to me.
I just started travelling a lot, and SiriusXM is great for driving down the Interstates. No hunting for channels, you keep connectivity no matter where you go. I went with the $30 for six month deal, and will do the cancel and resign thing, easier to do if you use a credit card that you're about to cancel, they can't "accidentally" bill you for another period of service. And, hey, if you're not getting and cancelling credit cards, you're missing out on a lot of free frequent miles and hotel points.
As others have said, $30 for 6 months isn't bad for interstate travel.
But the current free offer isn't very good if you have saved favorites because of constant Harvey pop-ups begging for donations. I also don't understand why they don't give their best service during the free trials. There's a lot of useless ****, even with 100 channels. It's a lot like basic cable.

Problem solved.

Thank you!
